Theme: Voice to the People
Bringing together healthcare professionals, community leaders, and public officials to address issues impacting those who are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS as well as sexual and reproductive health disparities in the Inland Empire.
This year our keynote is Dr. Julie Louise Gerberding, M.D., M.P.H. Executive Vice President & Chief Patient Officer Strategic Communications, Global Public Policy, & Population Health and served as the former Director of the Center’s for Disease Control appointed by President George W. Bush.
The Brunch is our annual patient advocacy and provider education brunch where we engage in:
· Strategic planning on gaps in services and programs in the Inland Empire related to communicable and infectious disease prevention and associate social determinants of health.
· Opportunities for partnership and collaboration between institutions.
· Education on non-HIV issue areas that impact people living with HIV (e.g. American Cancer Society is going to discuss the importance of cancer screenings in people living with HIV)
· Community updates on changes to programs, services, hours of operation, staffing, etc. for agencies serving people living with HIV.
